Why Obtain an IEE?
- Psychoeducational evaluations help to identify the individual's intellectual functioning
status, unique learning style characteristics, present academic achievement levels,
career/vocational interests and aptitudes, and social/emotional needs.
- Reports and consultations are tailored to provide clear, "user friendly"
recommendations, which are targeted to improve the student's learning, attention, behavior
and academic success.
- Independent Educational Evaluations provide a practical, realistic read-out of the
individual's strengths and needs which forms the basis for appropriate educational
instruction and remedial intervention.
- Recommendations are provided in clear, non-technical language which is understandable to
parents, teachers, physicians and educators.
-
Independent Educational Evaluations
completed by Dr. Kay rely upon current research findings published by the
National Institutes of Health and Human Services (NIH)
specifying the best practice guidelines for diagnosis and intervention for those with
learning
disabilities and
Attention
Deficit disorders. Evaluations are written to conform to State and Federal
guidelines and IDEA 2004 regulations
and guidelines.
Here is what others have had to say
"Dr. Kay's 1997
evaluation was thorough and specific and was clearly pitched, even more than to
the Parents, to the District educators who could profit from and utilize the
material therein. Dr. Kay's evaluation and recommendations, in fact, presented
the District with a virtual blueprint for developing an outstanding IEP for
Brian if it chose to take advantage of this rich and detailed diagnostic and
prescriptive document generated at no cost to itself." PA Hearing officer
B.H. vs. Cumberland Valley School District March 2000
"I had some parents travel from the Richmond, VA area a month ago
for an extensive evaluation and review of prior test history. They said
that Dr. Kay's assessment and feedback was the evaluation to end all evaluations
and that their great regret was that they had not done it years ago. They
raved about her."
Peter
W.D. Wright, Attorney at Law
"Your reports are wonderful. I am able to use them successfully 99% of
the time. It feels so good to get hugs from the parents and kids when school becomes
manageable for them. Keep up the good work."
Mary
Lou Reaver, Executive Director, PA Tourette Syndrome Association
"I consistently authorize a variety of Neuropsychological evaluations,
psychological testing and therapy sessions through Margaret Kay for my clients.
Dr. Kay provides me with thorough, detailed reports, which include not only
diagnostic information, but also specific information about any limitations
which may affect my client's ability to obtain employment. Her reports are
a key factor in establishing OVR eligibility and appropriate service provision."
Beth
Zakutney, Rehabilitation Counselor, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation
"I can say without qualification that Margaret Kay provides the most
comprehensive evaluation of any psychologist in our area...She has an excellent
rapport with physicians who refer patients to her and communicates in detail...I
have found her evaluations to be most thorough and insightful."
Robert
J. Baird, M.D., Manor Family Health Center, Lancaster, PA
"I want to let
you know that Chris Shields and I have received nothing short of praise and
appreciation about your presentation yesterday afternoon. I want to extend a big
THANK YOU for the informative and practical ideas you shared. People liked your
sense of humor, and the professional experiences you mixed in with your talk. I
think it helped connect everyone together. Just wanted to pass along some good
news! Take care". Kathy Craven, Director of The Pilot
School, Wilmington, DE 9/2002
