Information about Tests in Print

• Search the Test Reviews Online (http://buros.unl.edu/buros/jsp/search.jsp) Search for citations to reviews of educational and psychological tests and measures that The Buros Institute of Mental Measurements and Pro Ed (book publisher) have included in their directories. The TRL will tell you which publications of The Mental Measurements Yearbook, Tests in Print or Test Critiques contain reviews of a specific test. It will identify book, edition, and test number to see for the review.
   

• Need information about a test publisher? Use the Test Reviews Online Search for the names and addresses of over 900 major commercial test publishers. This database was compiled by The Buros Institute of Mental Measurements. http://buros.unl.edu/buros/jsp/search.jsp

• Need a listing of tests in given subject areas? The Buros Institute's Classified Subject Index (http://buros.unl.edu/buros/jsp/category.html) classifies all tests included in the Mental Measurements Yearbook into 19 major categories. After each test title, the MMY edition where those reviews can be found is noted.  The Classified Subject Index represents a starting point for readers who know their area of interest but do not know how to further focus that interest in order to identify the best test(s) for their particular purposes. 

• Need information about computerized testing materials? Use the Psychware Sourcebook

• Need to find an unpublished or noncommercial test or measure? Use the Directory of Unpublished Experimental Mental Measures (available through ILL), Measures for Psychological Assessment : a guide to 3,000 original sources and their applications (available through ILL), Tests in Microfiche (available from the Educational Testing Service), or Health and Psychosocial Instruments (HAPI) (available through BRS Information Technologies)
