Dysgraphia: Developmental Writing Disorder

by

Margaret J. Kay, Ed.D.

The 2003 edition of Learning Disabilities Sourcebook describes specific learning disabilities as well as other disorders that hinder learning. It provides information about diagnosis and assessment of learning disabilities, including helpful facts for parents about evaluations and individualized education programs (IEPs). Information about test taking accommodations, workplace accommodations, and computer-based assistance for the learning disabled is included. A section on coping strategies offers helpful advice to the parents and family members of learning disabled children and adults. The book also contains a glossary of related terms, a list of national organizations and other resources on learning disabilities, and information about financial aid for students with disabilities.
