Beck Youth
Inventories
The new Beck Youth Inventories
include five self-report inventories
that can be used separately or in combination to
assess symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger, disruptive behavior, and
self-concept. Consistent with IDEA legislation
requirements, the Beck Youth Inventories are intended for screening
of emotional and social difficulties that may impair
a child's ability to function in school settings. These inventories are useful
in planning and monitoring educational placement as well as in clinical
treatment settings.

into alignment with DSM–IV criteria.

statement or deny an optimistic statement.

1993

- Substance
Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory-3 (SASSI-3)
Since the SASSI-3 is comprised of both obvious
and subtle items, it is particularly useful in identifying persons who are
experiencing difficulties with substance abuse but are unwilling or unable to
acknowledge them. Now in its third edition, the SASSI-3 has been
extensively researched and revised. The SASSI-3 takes less than 15
minutes to complete and is comprised of 67 true-false items in addition to a
26 item self-report section on substance use. The SASSI-3 is designed
exclusively as a tool for clinical assessment and treatment. Use of this
instrument outside this context, such as for pre-employment screening, is not
appropriate.
