  • Beck Youth Inventories

    The new Beck Youth Inventories include five self-report inventories that can be used separately or in combination to assess symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger, disruptive behavior, and self-concept. Consistent with IDEA legislation requirements, the Beck Youth Inventories are intended for screening of emotional and social difficulties that may impair a child's ability to function in school settings.     This new edition of the Beck Depression Inventory®, the most widely used instrument for detecting depression, takes just five minutes to complete and is more clinically sensitive than ever. Like its predecessor, the BDI–II consists of 21 items to assess the intensity of depression in clinical and normal patients. Each item is a list of four statements arranged in increasing severity about a particular symptom of depression. These new items bring the BDI–II into alignment with DSM–IV criteria.

  • Parenting Satisfaction Scale (PSS)

    The Parenting Satisfaction Scale (PSS) is a clinical tool that is specifically designed to assess parent-child relationships. It is a 45-item standardized questionnaire that can be completed in less than 30 minutes. The PSS assesses parenting satisfaction in three domains. It is useful for both clinical and research purposes as well as in child custody evaluations and family therapy situations.

  • Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory-3 (SASSI-3)

    Since the SASSI-3 is comprised of both obvious and subtle items, it is particularly useful in identifying persons who are experiencing difficulties with substance abuse but are unwilling or unable to acknowledge them. Now in its third edition, the SASSI-3 has been extensively researched and revised. The SASSI-3 takes less than 15 minutes to complete and is comprised of 67 true-false items in addition to a 26 item self-report section on substance use. The SASSI-3 is designed exclusively as a tool for clinical assessment and treatment. Use of this instrument outside this context, such as for pre-employment screening, is not appropriate.
